Why Spring Is the Right Time to Service Your AC
Ask any of our techs and they'll tell you the same thing: the worst time to find out your AC is failing is on the first 95-degree afternoon of the year. That's exactly when the calls flood in, parts get tight, and everybody wants their system fixed at the same moment. Spring service gets ahead of all of that. Your air conditioner ran hard through last summer and probably sat mostly idle over our short winter. Belts settle, capacitors weaken, refrigerant levels can drift, and dust builds up in places you can't see. A spring tune-up catches the small stuff before it turns into a breakdown when you need cooling most. What Happens During a Spring AC Tune-Up When our team comes out for spring service, we're not just glancing at the unit and writing a ticket. We go through the system top to bottom so you know exactly where you stand before summer. A typical visit includes: Clean the condenser coil. Grass clippings, pollen, and dirt cake onto the outdoor coil and choke airflow. A clean coil moves heat the way it's supposed to and eases the load on your compressor. Check refrigerant charge.
